The campground is about 45 minutes from the Outer Banks. I decided to make a quick trip there today just to see if the Atlantic Ocean was still there. It is and here's proof.
I didn't stop at a rest area on this trip. I did stop though. It was at my favorite place. A place with a big enough parking lot that I can pull in with the RV hitched up. I can also pick up some groceries and put them directly in the icebox.
I have named the GPS voice. I was only kidding the other day about calling her Bertha. The name I have selected comes from one of my favorite movies. The name is "Elise". She did another wonderful job today.
I'll begin exploring tomorrow. Some of the things I'm looking to do are to explore Fort Raleigh (about the lost colony of Roanoke), the maritime museum, some lighthouses, etc.
Sorry for a boring post, but not much happens on travel days.
Ya'll take care of each other. Cya.
What town is the pic of the beach in? Preposition use is inherited lol. Beautiful campground and beach
ReplyDeleteThe town is Kitty Hawk.
DeleteI think I'd get a chair and camp out at that beach for a day or two or three!!! LOL I'm JEALOUS!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a little chilly, but a chair in the afternoon would be nice. Hit the road, you will like it.
