Getting Caught Up

Location: New Rockdale RV Park; Mansfield, Louisiana

Wow, it's been over a month since I've made a post. Since I'm not traveling, I figured there isn't much that would interest readers so I've been putting off making a post. I've received several comments and emails asking if everything is OK. My lack of posting worried some readers and for that I'm sorry. Everything is OK. I've been visiting with family and friends with a little RV maintenance and doctor's visits thrown in for good measure.

My last post was the day before the election. The political pendulum has swung the other way. As with each new president, we need to give them a chance to show the country and the world if they are up to the challenge of running this wonderful, one of kind, country of ours. Good luck, Mr. President (but remember, we will be keeping our eyes on you).

Thanksgiving was great. All of my kids and grandkids were were here as well as future, past and present in-laws and one Ex. It was a good family get-together with everyone bringing pictures from the past to share. The food was very good with everyone pitching in to prepare it. It was a great day.

Pictures will finish out this post and I promise to not be so delinquent in posting again.

That is Tucker, Cooper and Olivia. I gave them my loose change from the last several months. I told them if they counted it and separated it into equal thirds, each could keep a third. Olivia got tired so she rested while the boys did all the work. Female in training??? LOL

My daughter's 3rd grade class had asked questions about how bridges are built over water. Since I was familiar with the work, she invited me to talk with the class about it. It was a very enjoyable time with a couple dozen questions. The kids seemed to enjoy it too. :)

My Christmas decoration are up and yes, that is duck tape on the stocking sock.
Merry Christmas Everyone

Ya'll take care of each other. I'll Cya down the road.

  1. What lovely children and grandchildren. Aren't holidays wonderful to reconnect and reminisce? It is like storing up family fuel for the next travel adventure. We are counting the days until the next travel begins.

  3. Those are great pictures of the family Darrell, they reminded me of how much I miss my grandson. He lives in Denver Colorado which unfortunately is a place I try to avoid in the winter. But my daughter has about got me talked into staying there next winter for a few weeks during the Christmas season.

Here's hoping you and your family have a Merry Christmas.

  4. Daryl, are you still stuck in Louisiana like I am? On August 13 last year, our house got 3" of rainwater...just enough to ruin the floors and had to cut out some Sheetrock. I'm getting ready to hit the road by next month, God willing. Don't know where I'm going...just heading for out West. Hope your son is continuing to improve. Take care.
