A New Beginning, Soon

My name is Darrell Goza and I will be retiring in April of 2014. My retirement plan is to travel fulltime around the United States and Canada in an RV. I will return to my home area around Thanksgiving each year to give the kids and grandkids a kiss and hug. I'll also use that time to get medical checkups for me and service check ups for the RV and truck. I purchased a 30 foot Forest River Rockwood fifth-wheel RV and a Ford F-250 as a tow vehicle at the end of November of 2013. I haven't given the RV and truck a name yet, but am leaning towards "Freedom" and "Liberty", two words that will clearly define my new traveling lifestyle. I moved into the RV during the first week of December so I can get used to it and all of its systems. Once on the road, I hope to blog every day so my family and friends will know that I'm not laying face down in a ditch somewhere. The blog posts will be about the location I'm visiting, pictures of things that interest me and comments about whatever comes to mind. It may be very boring to most people, but I hope the ones that know me may get some enjoyment out of it. There will also be a comment section, so if you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to send them in. If there are any grammar teachers out there who gets really annoyed at sentences ending in a preposition, then don't read this blog because that is one of my bad habits.
Home is wherever the RV is parked

  1. Congratulations on your first entry. I won't be commenting on your use of prepositions, I am use to that lol, but commenting on your pictures. I will be reading daily. Enjoy....Pat

  2. We started full timing about 15 days before you. We started March 17th, 2014 and headed straight to Texas to become Texans. We ended up wintering down here in Mission, Texas but I think next winter we will hole up in Apache Junction, AZ were at least we will see the sun more often than down here in the RGV. We sure are loving the lifestyle. Made your blog a bookmark because it looks interesting to me. Keep up the hard work.

    1. Hello Clark. I agree, this lifestyle we have chosen is great. To me, it is pure freedom. I'm not sure where I'll be next winter. I'm pretty sure it won't be in the RGV either. Ya'll take care. I'll cya down the road.
