I took a day trip to explore the Pacific coast south of Monterey towards Big Sur. It is Highway 1 and sometimes called the Pacific Coast Highway. There isn't a lot to be said about the trip except to say the views were great, the weather was nice, the sky was blue with wispy clouds and the water a dark blue. It was a long day trip but well worth it. Visiting the coast was the reason I stopped at this campground.
There isn't a lot to say so I'll let the pictures speak for the beauty of the trip.

DeleteYou know I have done the PCH on a bicycle, motorcycle, and car beautiful no matter the mode of transport. Having said that I have also done the same on the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Nova Scotia and I have to say it is a much prettier and interesting ride. Just my .02 worth.

I was very surprised how fast those cyclists were going. If the lead one wrecked, they all would have went down. I gave them plenty of space so if something happened, I wouldn't run them over.

ReplyDeleteAnother nice trip, if you ever get to Canada, is from Banff to Jasper in Alberta. One of the most scenic highways in the world.
Hello KCD. Nope, Canada isn't in my plans this year. I didn't get my passport last November like I had planned to do. Maybe I subconsciously did that on purpose so as to stay in the lower 48.
