I moved about 240 miles west. Nearly the entire trip was across the Mojave Desert. I am in the foothills of the mountains that separate the Pacific Coastal towns and the desert. It is another Passport America campground so the nightly rate is very reasonable. The price of gasoline is about 1 dollar more than what it was in Nevada. I hope California is worth it. :) I will be here for 3 nights which should be long enough to see what is around here and make the next moving plan.
Two of the items on the exploration list are the Reagan Library and the Pacific Ocean.
Smooth road leading to the mountains |
The vastness of the Mojave Desert. You can see the road in the distance. |
A well timed Rest Area along the interstate |
Getting close to the campground. Notice the snow on the mountain tops. |
The back-side of Liberty parked snuggly in the campground. |
I wanted to let you know that I started reading your blog after Al of the Bayfield Bunch mentioned it. I love it !!!! I'm going back and reading from the first post. I love how you're living and loving life. Thanks for the great photos and writings.
