This is the 3rd post in two days. I should be caught up with the blog now.
About 3 weeks ago when I was just entering Ohio, I was planning and searching for things to explore. The factory that made Liberty is located in Goshen, Indiana and I planned to tour it on my way to Michigan. I figured it would be a 2 day stop over then I would head further north. That is when I discovered that the factory would not be available for tours during the first week of August because of the FROG Rally. I was aware that FROG was an acronym for Forest River Owners Group because I have been on the Forest River forum since before I bought Liberty. I figured I could forsake my individual tour and attend the Rally and their tour. The cost of the Rally is $295.00 and include 6 nights of camping, 6 breakfasts and 4 dinners. Also, there are many learning seminars, factory tours and get togethers. It is a very good bargain. Instead of waiting around Ohio/Indiana for 3 weeks, I went to Port Huron and Muskegon. After the rally, I'll continue my journey north through Michigan.
I'm not sure how many RV's are going to be here, because I keep hearing different numbers, but the best number seems to be about 500 RV's. That is a lot of RV's and people. I arrived around 2:30 pm on Friday during a heavy rain. My assigned campsite is on the end of a row and I can look out my window and watch the RV's as they enter. Every brand and size RV is represented. The beginning event is dinner tonight (Sunday, 8/3/2014) with entertainment afterwards. Most of the people here are couples, but I figure there will be a few solo's like myself. I'm not a very outgoing person and in the past I usually relied on my x-wife to be the outgoing one and I just tagged along. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

My campsite for the Rally. This was taken Friday afternoon. All the spaces have been filled. |
Once you get there you will have a great time. You always did. Have fun
ReplyDeleteHow's the rally going? You must be meeting new people and sharing the same interests. Have fun were thinking about you!
